Meet Vanessa

Meet Vanessa, my newest addition to my tote/purse family.
She's made of designer upholstery fabric on the outside and is completely lined with burlap on the inside.
The strap is a thick braided blue and white strap sewn on and complimented with a blue button.

My Newest Tote Project

First of all, I'm sorry that I've been posting less frequently of late. It's been crazy busy at my house and I've been battling being sick off and on.

However, despite being sick today I purposed to make this tote to put in my shop.
Introducing "Haley" my newest accomplishment.

 Here she is!
She's fully lined no ugly seams!
This is her "backside" *ahem* made of linen
And this is a closeup of the flower print pocket and lattice print body.

Timothy's 4 Month Photos

Oh my goodness... how time flies.
Timothy was officially 4 months old April 14th. Crazy isn't it?!
Well, here are his 4 month photos. When I compare them to even 3 months it's crazy how much he's changed.

Timothy's Antique Highchair Pad-- made by mwah :)

I bought an antique robins egg blue highchair for Timothy while I was still pregnant with him.
I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Unfortunately, the wooden seat and spindle back wasn't comfortable for a baby. So, I endeavored to sew a pad for it out of tea stained ticking fabric, some gorgeous eyelet lace and some chocolate brown ribbon. Here is the result:

It's just breath taking!!! Perfect for any baby!
If you all like it... keep and eye out because I have another antique highchair I'm going to do up in the same
robins egg blue, antiqued and I'm going to make a pad for it also!!! It's going to be for sale!

White, Burlap and Lace- Oh So Perfect Combination

I am in love with the combinations of white, burlap and softer textures. I love the whimsical look mixed with the look of hard work. It's like the perfect marriage. The farmer meets the seamstress, the architect the designer, etc.
I took my love for this fabric marriage and created a whimsical, hard-working, romantic tote to die for!

PS. I'm selling this one on my online store!
PPS. If you like the "He is Risen" pillow... that was made by my mother. Check her out at:

Classic/Boho Tote- Who Doesn't Want One?

I recently began a project on a new pillow... but, as I went along fell in love with the idea of creating a tote bag that has the mix of the burlap and white that I'm in love with... but also that classic clean blue and white graphic print that's so in style right now.
Well, below is the result of my "whim"...

I don't know about you but, I'm in love!!! I love the large overstated bow in the front, and the mix of mediums here. If you're in love with it... please check out my shop!
